About the Race
Tsomgo Ultra stands out as the sole ultra-race in the state of Sikkim, meticulously organized by dedicated and passionate runners. In its second edition, the race evolved from a challenging 42 km run to an ultra-distance event in 2023, catering to the aspirations of runners seeking to push their limits. The primary goal of the event extends beyond the race itself, aiming to contribute to the creation of a healthier society for comprehensive development.
Anticipating the 2025 edition, Tsomgo Ultra 4.0 pledges to surpass previous achievements, promising an event that is grander and more enriching than ever before

2025 Year of the Snow Lion
Snow Lion, a mythical creature deeply rooted in Sikkimese culture. It holds great symbolic significance, representing strength, courage, and the purity of the high mountains. It is often depicted in traditional art, folklore, and religious iconography, embodying the spirit of the Himalayas. The Snow Lion serves as a reminder of Sikkim’s rich cultural heritage and its deep connection to the natural and spiritual world.

2024 Year of the Red Panda
Sikkim is home to the Red Panda, an endangered species. The presence of Red Pandas in the region is indicative of the rich biodiversity of the Himalayan ecosystem. The Red Panda is also culturally significant in Sikkim. It features in local folklore and traditions, and its unique appearance makes it a symbol of natural beauty and diversity

Yaks have cultural significance in Sikkim, they are known for their resilience in harsh climatic conditions and are well adapted to high-altitude environments of Sikkim.
